Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL)

California Senate Bill 206 or the “Fair Pay to Play Act” was first signed into law on September 30, 2019. The NCAA, state legislators, and members of Congress proposed rules that provide athletes the opportunity to make money by selling their Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rights while playing in college.
